Vargapál Lipový Med
by Marek Vargapal - Promed
Our family has been dedicated to beekeeping for over 100 years. Our journey began with our
great-grandfather, a skilled farmer and agronomist, who cared for various livestock—including cows, pigs, rabbits, poultry, and pigeons—while managing 40 bee colonies. From an early age, he instilled in us a love for animals and nature, which continues to inspire our work today. We now manage over 200 bee colonies across 8 locations, using migratory beekeeping to produce a diverse range of honey. In the southern Zemplín region, our bees collect rapeseed, acacia, sunflower, phacelia, and meadow honeys. For linden honey, we travel to the Gemer region, while the Volovské Mountains provide the perfect environment for forest and honeydew honeys. To maintain the highest quality standards, we have built a modern honey processing and packaging facility, certified by the Regional Veterinary Administration. This allows us to supply the local market and expand across Europe and the rest of the world. Our operations are under constant veterinary supervision, ensuring exceptional hygiene and product quality. Our commitment to excellence has been recognized on a global scale—our honey products have won prestigious awards at Apimondia, the world’s leading beekeeping exhibition. With a deep-rooted tradition, modern practices, and a dedication to quality, we take pride in bringing you honey crafted with care and expertise.
